Today we met with the kid’s English tutor and have found a math tutor in the area.
I think a lot of people are put off by how much they charge, however I’m a single parent and the £15 per hour (once a week) is the same as her lunch money at school.
She doesn’t have to have an English and Maths tutor as she’s probably going to go into college at a foundation level to do child care.
For her to sit GCSE’S at college you’re looking at about £100 in this area. Costs may differ in other areas.
I’m looking at putting her into functional skills English and Math so the tutor is really just to build her self confidence especially where asking questions come into practice.
Her creative writing has definitely come on in the past week, she’s thinking about what people want to read, how they want to “feel” part of the story.
